Druids at Westminster

On april 29th some 60 members of CoBDO (Council of British Druid Orders), The Dolmen Grove, Glastonbury Order of Druids and others including the Bard of Avebury and the Keeper of the Avebury Stones went on procession through the streets of London to make history by erecting the first Maypole in Westminster for around 1500 years. After crossing Westminster Bridge we stopped at Boudicca's Statue to pay homage to her for sacking the Romans and taking the city of London. We then processed, the drumming of the magnificent Dolmen Grove making it possible to find a way through the crowds who began to follow us until the large gathering stopped to raise the Maypole and join the ceremony.
